Zoo Med Terrarium Moss is a great natural "Top Substrate" for the naturalistic terrarium set-up. Below the Terrarium Moss, use 2-3" of sand or earth substrate for the burrowing behaviour of toads, salamanders, small snakes, hermit crabs, and other terrarium animals.
