Tench (Tinca tinca) have a stocky, carp-like shape and metallic olive green skin, darker above and almost golden on the belly and flanks. It also comes in a golden morph. They are perfect for mud or clay based ponds and will tolerate a low oxygen environment where other fish may be unsuitable.
