The Diamond Back Sturgeon (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii), also known as the Russian Sturgeon or Danube Sturgeon, is a large freshwater fish that can grow up to 1.8 meters (6 feet) in length.
They are characterized by a series of bony plates (scutes) along their back and a long, pointed snout.
