The Goromo Koi Carp is a refined and visually distinctive Japanese Koi variety, prized for its elegant blend of traditional Kohaku patterning with a unique twist. Goromo display a pure white base with bold red (hi) markings, similar to Kohaku, but each red patch is delicately overlaid with a fine, net-like pattern of blue, grey, or black edging. This subtle reticulation gives the Goromo its name, which translates to “robed” or “clothed,” and adds depth and sophistication to the fish’s appearance.

There are several subtypes of Goromo, including Ai Goromo (blue edging), Sumi Goromo (black edging), and Budo Goromo (grape-like, darker clusters).
